At St Joseph’s Clermont, we endeavour to provide a coherent, relevant and rigorous curriculum that meets the needs, interests and learning styles of all learners. Our programs have been designed to offer a holistic approach to learning that engages, enables and empowers students in their learning, within a Catholic environment. These programs are derived from the documents of the Australian Curriculum, the Queensland Studies Authority and the Rockhampton Diocesan Religious Education Guidelines.
The learning areas of English, Mathematics and Religion assume priority in curriculum organisation. Science, Humanities and Technologies (Design and Digital) are discrete areas of study with links made to, through, and within English, Mathematics and Religion. The Arts, Health and Physical Education and Language Other Than English (LOTE- Japanese) opportunities are provided to students through the employment of specialist teachers, both living locally or through the use of Video Conferencing Technology. TECHNOLOGY
Every student has access to iPads, laptops or Chromebooks depending on the Year level. Each classroom is fitted with an interactive whiteboard and Phonak Sound Amplification System to ensure every student has access to learning throughout the day. |
